Weblog: Victoria and the Goose

<< Previous Entry | Next Entry >>

I took most of these pictures of Victoria and the Galloping Goose between downtown and Wal-Mart on my way home after picking up a new camera.

Since my old camera is soggy toast, I had to get a new one. This one is a Canon Powershot A200. It's not as good as the Pentax I had (no optical zoom, mainly), but there are some things I like better. Also, it was very cheap ($100 off for being a floor model). The delay between hitting the shutter button and the picture being taken is much shorter (almost non-existant if you press it half-way down to focus it first), which is much better than the Pentax's very long delay. This camera has a handy panorama mode (but no cute 3-D mode). It feels sturdier as well, which is good, because the Pentax always felt fragile to me.
