Weblog: Mexico: The wedding guests arrive in Mexico

Meeting Ryan, Alex, Matt, Mei, and Steve at the airport, wandering around Mexico City, and driving around Puebla/Cholula/Tonantzintla.
My friends arrived on-time at the airport yesterday, and we decided to spend the morning in Mexico City in order to give Edward some time to take care of some tasks and pick up the van we're renting. We took the metro to the Zocalo, then headed towards the Almeda Central. We had breakfast at the restaurant in a Sanborns department store. This store is in a beautiful colonial building covered with tilework, and the restaurant is in the courtyard which contains a moorish fountain and is adorned with more beautiful tilework and frescoes, which makes for a lovely setting. We then took in the murals in the Palacio de Belles Artes and then walking along Reforma and Insurgentes, and then took the metro back to the airport. We arrived just in time to collect our bags and catch the 3pm bus to Puebla.
At the CAPU bus station, Ed picked us up in the van and the rest of the day was spent mostly driving around between Puebla, Cholula (where most of the wedding guests are staying, all except Steve and I), and Tonantzintla (where Ed lives) to check in, get booze and food, and pick up some more guests at CAPU. Plenty of beer was consumed during this time.
It's fun to be with most of the gang from high school again. Myself, Ed, Ryan, Steve, Matt, and Alex are all here. Missing are Cody and Dave. We were all talking about how much has changed in all our lives, but how little seems to have changed since ten years ago when we were hanging out in Matt's basement, Ed was driving us all around in a van, and we had to endure Ryan's groping.
I just got up after sleeping on Ed's floor and will probably take it pretty easy today because the general lack of sleep and poor diet and busyness of the last week is catching up to me. I'm feeling wierd and anxious, missing Alexis terribly, and just need a day of calm.
